Welcome to my online sewing diary. A novice, I just took up sewing with a community college class in September of 2007, after becoming interested in the idea of refashioning thank to, among other things, Emily’s blog, somegirlswander. I’m chronicling my projects online because, well then I can do it from wherever I have web access. And I’m chronicling them mainly so that I can keep notes on mistakes I made or possibly improvisations that worked out. I am also a web developer so I suppose I might write about that stuff too. Why carrotflowers: I wanted the name to come from music I love, and to sound playful. The name is taken from the song “King of Carrot Flowers, Part I” or I suppose “King of Carrot Flowers, Part II” by Neutral Milk Hotel. I love them both but my heart gives Part I the edge; as the album opener, it does a magnificent job.
